Oh wait, I remember another couple of things about that day-- Chad Pence, our brass caption head, cut off our run-through halfway through the opener because it was so bad. [Looking it up now, it was only the second show of the season] Also, we stayed at a random middle school that had no showers (because our admin sucked at booking housing sites and admin-ing in general...there's a reason the corps folded after 2006) so we had to go to the NIU stadium and use their showers before the show, and someone opened a door to reveal The Cavaliers working on the "Goldeneye" opening of their show. [Remember that show? What a great show. Will never forget watching it at Finals]

TL;DR:

Should  be an interesting night for brass and intonation. Although the temps will be great, humidity will rise from 60 per cent at show start to 85 per cent by scores. Earlier performing corps may benefit.

At Tapa La Luna eating small plates drinking sangria getting medicated before the show. No scoping this evening perhaps a review of Cadets changes.

Who can pass up the $5 clearance t-shirts at The Academy's souvenir truck?  All sizes available. I grabbed 4 shirts for twenty bucks.

At current rehearsal, Phantom guard director says technical is good, but that emotion must be added.  Crescendos must be more consistent among brass, states another voice.

Wind will challenge the guards tonight.

Yuk. Settled for McDonalds at the DeKalb Oasis on toll road 88 an hour ago.

You two enjoy the evening & looking forward to hearing about your thoughts on the changes. Should be a great night.
