Back to drum corps. Still shocked that Bluecoats do not seem to be cleaning. Grrrrr. :( Let's go Blooo. Clean that puppy. They looked clean to me. Sometimes things are rewarded. It happens. Seen it many times. The group think in DCI judging is alarming! This. posted from the DrumScorps app
jjeffeory
The Cavaliers' competitive ceiling has just been raised from fifth to third. Yay! I'm a little surprised, but nice for my team! posted from the DrumScorps app

Guess you may not have liked the BD winning in 2012 when they had 13 songs on their card. Talk about snippets.

Reminds me of when people used to use the word "ret*rded" (huh didn't know DCP censored that) or "gay" as adjectives pretty often But I digress. I agree it is quite a bit of sensory stimulation, but that's what makes it so much fun and impressive nah you don't "digress" you're just being rude and insolent As far as design I do not find it enjoyable but others feel differently and it's found an audience among all those OLD judges so maybe it isn't a "traditional" (ageism) thing after all

Not the style that you graciously described as such.

Their show is more different than others this year. The entire middle portion of the show reminds me of a nature show describing man. the music is the background. I may have preferred a show where music is the approach, but they're offering something different, and it seems to be working ok for them this season thematically. posted from the DrumScorps app Edited August 4, 2017 by jjeffeory Autocorrect on phone was wrong...
candymancan
21 minutes ago, George Dixon said: I agree. As a Cadets fan I was shocked by their (high) scores in 2011. (not GE but performance captions) and then in 2013 I was shocked by their low GE/visual scores and then in 2015 I was shocked again and then in 2016 I was shocked by their low brass/percussion scores I literally could say the same about the swings in many corps. Crown was dumped in 2012 and then over scored in 13 and then dumped in 14. Etc. Bluecoats are not getting much credit this year - and it feels like both Boston (bare with me for a second) and Cavaliers are getting a ton. Boston doesn't have nearly the content of the other top corps and Cavaliers do not complete a single musical thought in 13 minutes of running around. It's amazing. and yet they are getting very high (music) GE scores? Then you have corps like Blue Stars, Blue Knights, Regiment etc being very toughly scored for "dirty" because they have more visual content It's all very interesting. THIS - THIS - THIS ^^^^^^^^^^

I even hear pre teens use those words. it's not over yet. posted from the DrumScorps app
