Jake W.
Ok. I've chattered on enough about how I don't like the writing or programming. Time for a compliment: the ending melody of "Come What May" is WONDERFUL when it's written into the low brass instead of the high brass in order to let the mellos sail over!! And then finishes all off with the Prokofiev snippet again in the mellos. Now THAT is some good ### writing!!!!!!!!

Fine all afternoon (at least as far as I could pay attention in free moments at work) but a short bit of sticking near the end of Stars' show.

When the Redford version was released, my favorite film critic said that Baxter's was the best of the bad bunch. We'll never be able to make that comparison; that silent movie has long since been lost. Oh, I was referring to Romeo + Juliet! I forgot he was also in Great Gatsby. N.E. Brigand
Lots to like in Stars' show, but enough (for me) not to like that I'd like Crossmen to pull ahead.

Can't do that with a specific Corps only event. You know that -- I'm sure you do. Cool. I just think it is another one of these add ons that people seem to love today. Ageouts used to leave a note on the field and it was so classy and cool. Now we have to watch a selfie video with pop music. I'm just not a fan and I know a lot of the members and directors feel the same. Reallly screws with the finals week schedule the way they do it now. Maybe some other format would be better?
Cop
I wanted to love the guard a bit more. Overall the show was challenging and well executed! Fantastic. Edited August 11, 2017 by Cop
