Corpfan Posted June 16, 2018 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Ok so after reading much debate about how much better everyone is going to be this year I have decided to give my prediction on who will win. And my winner is...me! Because I get to see all of them in San Antonio this year!! Seriously though, and this is nothing more than a gut feeling, I never count out the big blue machine from out west but this just feels like a Crown kinda year to me for some reason. Concerning the BAC/Cadets 2016 talent level, I have to say that the one time I got to see them both live at the same show, Cadets seemed to have a higher talent level than BAC, and that's not due to design. Any musician can take a song and make it great. BAC however, did not in 2016. As for 2017, a staff member can take corps members with them easily. See Crown/BAC 2017. I believe that is what happened. Gotta love poachers. They're not just in the Sahara, they're in our own backyards. Lol. Now, let the hate begin because I used the word "poachers", but please come up with something that wasn't used as a comeback last year. Reading stuff twice is no fun. That said, speaking about the brass specifically (which handily beat Cadets) I was told by SEVERAL Cadet folks that only FIVE (5) members from their brass followed Gino from Cadets....so your statement is either [partly] inaccurate or the cadet folks were lying. It can't be both. On the other hand...I just re-read your statement that said CROWN....so in that sense it MAY be accurate for guard. I do not know the numbers there.
