dcsnare93
I'm telling you the tin can is the Bermuda triangle for mics.
hank13579
SCV. Please use the whole field and march or change the rules. Not a fan! They do sound good though...but who doesn’t, in between the 30s and in front of the hash, standing still? 1
Popular Post cpg35223
Have to say it. SCV is winning because of extraordinary musicianship. At the same time, they have a show that is coherent and centered around the music without being reliant on props. It's just several notches of show design above everything else. A striking refutation that you need to drag a garage sale out on the field in order to score points with the audience. 9
Treefidy
The solos were mic'd, but they just aren't coming through in that building for some reason...

I never knew about this stuff, but it's absolutely insane the level of difficulty of some of the pieces they play. Carolina Crown's run of shows since 2012 are what really got me hooked to brass band music. "Dreams" (a piece by Bertrand Moren from Crown's 2012 show) remains one of the most insane works I've ever listened to.

N.E. Brigand
Risky, but I think the tubas need to push closer to blat loudness in the dance section.

Michael Gaines said drill and field coverage is antiquated on The Field Pass.
