exitmusic
These kids have ten times more talent than we did as kids and they work ten times as hard. Deriding them as “soft” is insulting and gross.

exitmusic
Just now, Terri Schehr said: Please don’t throw all boomers under the same blanket. Thank you. I didn’t. It’s “baby boomer tripe,” because it’s exceptionalism largely, but not universally exhibited by many baby boomers and the next mini-generation that follows. “Social justice” matters to kids and no one should make them feel bad for it. Life is hard but it doesn’t also have to be mean.

exitmusic
In sum, being inclusive is not the Cadets problem. It’s a feature, not a bug. The problem is a bad design and no real organizational direction, for years now.

However, to think they are falling off the edge of the earth, as seems to be the case being made by some here, is just, IMO, not true. The rise of a bunch of corps has made the area the Cadets are in very crowded, but it doesn't mean that they are falling...give the others credit. Give them credit for what? Happening to be in the neighborhood the Cadets have fallen down into? Then congratulations to them, I guess. Though if it wasn’t them it would be some other grouping of corps and it wouldn’t change the fact that the Cadets have fallen to be among them. We're a kid in his bedroom with a Casio and a tape deck, and they are a Skrillex show. and Bluecoats didn't enter the season in a huge financial hole. Look at cavies 12, and now Cavies 19. took 7 years to get back up in the conversation
