And locally those Lower Tiered WC and OC corps can open up their recruiting to 100% of their local HS and College Bands. then what about the ones cut not going to those corps now? you conveniently ignore them

I'll show you BOA that allows Marching band to be Marching bands and it succeeds. I'll show you WGI who gives their performers a wider allowance for what they are allowed to do on the floor and succeed. WGI unlike DCI has been quicker to remove such restrictive barriers and WGI is and will continue to be the trendsetters in the activity. Perhaps DCI is finally trying to right some wrongs. Because of such clear examples of success in other corners of the Marching Arts. Edited January 7, 2020 by Glenn426

The number cut will increase to 3000 by your estimates. Just by simply adding more opportunities of Members to filter down to other corps would have a positive impact on the bottom line for the corps struggling to field 155. And remember it is not only going to be Brass players cut, The corps will have an option to take the numbers for the WW's from the Guard or Percussion sections. It's their perogative. It's been my experience that through participation in WGI Independent groups those in Guard and Percussion know alot more people in other corps than the average Hornline member. All with varying degrees of talent, In Guard and Percussion there is more of a chance of migration than just in Brass players because they have friends who can refer them to their caption heads..
