Just texted someone that my post retirement plan of walking more just got delayed. Have a treadmill but not that familiar with it. Kinda worried I’m going to mess up and end up in the ER. Not quite the time to go over there even if I can see the hospital from my house

You might check out YouTube to see if there is a video posted on how to set your treadmill speed.

Thanks but have that part. Just combination of legs moving and nothing else feeling and mainly constantly walking at same speed. Used to hills and adjusting speed as needed. And keeping that death grip on the handles lol....

Oh it has one, that was one feature I looked for. More worried about nose dives on the console lol. Just have to set it at ancient person speed until I get more used to it. And work on my death grip on the handles 🤛🏻🤜🏻

Start out slow and then you can fire it up.  🔥 👟

It’s really weird at first.  Almost like vertigo when you get off.  I’m used to it now so I don’t get that weird dizziness anymore.  Make sure you have a tv in front of you or else, you’ll die of boredom.  I’m binge watching Dexter on there now.

Ok don't rag me but it's 78 here in AZ  (wait till the summer eh)  The only problem is that Mr. & Mrs. Rattles & the kids are on the move from their denning areas.  Saw where a guy was bitten hiking Camel Back Mtn. , Phoenix area!  We all have our crosses to bear.

😳 🐍

In my 55+ development our clubhouse closed. No indoor pool, no gym, no exercise classes, not to mention other ongoing activities and trips. All we can do is walk around the neighborhood. This morning 14 of us did a 2.5 mile walk. The other day we did two walks, one morning and one afternoon, totaling about 5.5 miles. This morning it was 43 when we did that walk.

What wonderful bonding time.

If your treadmill has a "random" program, use that.  I like the variability of the speed and incline, and I do between 4.5 & 5.5 miles per day at the gym plus another mile walking the dog.  I stopped going to the gym this weekend and, although I'll probably go again one more time, I'm thinking it's a good time to start taking the dog on all 5 miles on the streets around town.

I love Planet Fitness, and I go between 3:30 and 4am when it's not crowded and, as much as everyone wipes stuff down, it's probably the cleanest part of my day outside home.

It has random and bunch of bells and whistles including internet $tuff. But need to get the basics down first....

hmmm wonder how many people are having issues because can’t go to the gym for exercise and social time (trying to back on topic)

I would suspect that mental health professionals are going to be inundated for quite some time.

As of 2pm PA closing restaurants and non-essential businesses at midnight for two weeks. Just called for my last to go order at my local diner and they’re ahead of the game. Owner answered saying they sent everyone home and locking the doors now. Know people who never make their own dinners so can’t imagine how that affects them

Mixed signals in PA: non-essential businesses close at midnight but restaurants can have take out service. Earlier “non-essential” was not spelled out. Annnnnd: the state stores (Wine/hard stuff stores that the state runs) open until tomorrow night midnight. Or as my sister sez: priority must be St Patrick’s Day.
