Thanks for the introduction to her. Wow! Beethoven would probably concur too.

My 2003 ears will tell you nothing but lies. We couldn't sync to sound at all, except with those in very close proximity, and we were never in time with the other side, aurally. Just had to get used to it and trust other indicators of sync and vibe. 😉 Somehow we managed pretty well I think.

And also got 5th place. For trying something wild.

i love when you CASUALLY mention marching SCV 03-04, only two of their most creative and memorable shows, nbd, nothing to see here! lol

I got heavy doses of SC magic in a very brief window of time. I know my fortune within the greater legacy.

And also, I was a small piece of it. Many minds and bodies went into it.

*** Self-snipped 🙂 ***

Anyone else getting a vibe from the last, unison arm move when they're all seated that a "floating, slowly rising cymbal V" might be in the offing?

Ok, so that's just a BIT cooler than my idea. 😍  now maybe have only her in someone's saffron suggestion?

And props to SCVC for taking on the "V" mantle!

Two words.

FLOATING WOMAN

God I love that addition to the end.

Last night was my first viewing of this show…while I appreciate the little subtleties woven in it just didn’t grab me as I hoped it would. The highlight of the show (for me at least) was the extended snare feature as they do move laterally then swing backfield. I was also disappointed in the down-soft ending, as I thought the brass would be playing it ** like they used to do ** (says this Tenderland ‘84 vet.)
