I'm kinda shocked how traditional this show is. They look like a corps from the late 1990's to mid 2000.

Marching uniforms with shakos and plumes!

Dropping the featured sabre toss on close up opening night stings.

I was hoping the closeup jinx succumbed to that virus thing.

I see new staff has led to a new direction. They don’t sound as good as they did in 2014-2016 but I still enjoyed the show a lot, going to be one of my favorites. It’s just pure drum corps no gimmicks

Blue Knights are consistently slow starters and this season is no exception. Not much going on to keep my attention. The production will require a lot of work, but I expect them to make finals. I’ll wait for another viewing.

I know they'll definitely make big improvements, but I think this might be the roughest start for their brass that I can remember. Wonder if they had a later start than usual this year?

Not sure what to think about this BK show. I liked the Ballad. I think the high cam view of the colors of the uniforms with the corps vs the guard is very interesting, especially the sort of 2 sided guard uniform. It just does not give me the same vibe of recent BK shows. Is someone new writing their drum book? It seems much more heavy handed then in past years.

Probably a younger BK. The guard looks like it needs work. I would have Mandarins by at least 4-5 points ahead.

I’m sorry but there was a moment that I seriously laughed at. It was supposed to be a screamer moment and it was a massive failure. It will be so iconic and hilarious to rewatch in August, it’s all in good fun. You look good BK. We’ll see where it goes…

Decent show! Some drill looks missing and guard has a ways to go, but overall this was very impressive!

Go BK and Go bryce!

Musically Blue Knights are really strong, but the lack of drill is a problem.   Hopefully that will get beefed up over the season and give us another one of their late season surges.
