oldbandguy
Not sure how the math worked out, but Bloo IS the #3 seed for Prelims! They go on at 10:22 p.m.

Precious Roy
The math works out by averaging the scores for Atlanta and Winston/Salem for the 4 corps that competed in both shows (which includes Bloo).

Absolute bs when corps are that close, basically saying “no they aren't.” This assured bd victory. It would have only taken one judge, but two? But hey, Competitive Inertia, right? Apparently bloo didnt have enough in 2019, adding credence to my point. Regardless of where your loyalties lie, we all understand the ramifications of Chumley being on a panel for finals night.

Do we? On 7/29, in Atlanta, he judged GE1 and gave Bloo 4th in GE and Crown 2nd. The very next day at NightBEAT, he judged the exact same caption and gave Bloo a resounding GE win over Crown. Seems like a guy who calls it how he sees it on any given night to me.

Related to BD, it seems he is fairly predictable.

By that logic, almost all judges are fairly predictable, since they quite often place BD first I say almost, because that J Webb’s got a mind of his own 😉 Edited August 7, 2023 by Cappybara
