Posted July 28, 2018 Share Posted July 28, 2018 Ok, I could do without the Cadets-2015-esque voiceovers about the power of doors....frankly, this show could have NO voiceovers and not a single person would question what the show is about! That pet peeve aside, love love love love everything that Spirit is offering this year. Uniforms are gorgeous. Musicianship is through the roof in every section. The doors are beautiful, and create some STUNNING staging moments. I'm sure it looks cluttered from down low, but on high cam, Spirit has an honestly intriguing visual book this year. I’m pulling for them to get in because I find this show really engaging, even if I wish the drill had a bit more velocity.
