  1. Today
  2. I don't see how such an "agreement" could have been signed without being under duress, given the power differential. That would make it unenforceable, amirite?
  3. Back in the day, it was very possible to make a major jump (or fall) of well over 5 places from one season to the next. In today's corps, the vast majority of corps finish within 3 positions of the previous year's placement. Here are some eye openers......................Racine Kilties 28th place 1976, 10th place 1977. Madison Scouts 14th place 1972, 4th place 1973. 27th Lancers 20th place 1974, 4th place 1975. Spirit of Atlanta 22nd place 1977, 6th place 1978. Argonne Rebels, 11th place 1973, 33rd place 1974. Suncoast Sound 13th place 1982, 6th place 1983. Racine Kilties 7th place 1975, 28th place 1976. Hawthorne Muchachos, disqualified 1975, 21st place 1976. Oakland Crusaders 8th place 1976, 15th place 1977 (high drums in prelims) Seneca Optimists 8th place 1977, 23rd place 1978. Garfield Cadets 19th place 1974, 11th place 1975. I am sure that there are more. There were also some drastic 2 year movements as well, though that is for another time. It would be interesting to hear from members that were in both years. I am also sure that major moves up were a bit more gratifying than major moves down, but such is life...........
  4. because without a victim coming forward, no one wants to get sued. and if rumors are true, NDA's made sure victims won't come forward
  5. Wake me when it comes close to the amount of hours victims have toiled with their adverse outcomes of abuse in DCI corps. Or just even one corps. Or just even one victim.
  6. Haha. I get how you feel. It still feels like yesterday I was packing for spring training for my last summer and getting ready I miss it a lot
  7. I miss the excitement of the planning of getting everything ready for Spring Training, but I will never lose my excitement for this corps!! I just sit in my little corner of the country and cheer them on! šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚
  8. Allow me to clarify. What I've posted was dated between Nov 16-Dec 6 2023. Since that time there have been many listed "events" on the case, including summons, certificates of service, certificates of service of discovery, complaints and amended complaints with jury demands, answers with jury demands, state court jury demand - 12 jurors, answers to amended complaints, and even a "consent order- case MGT dates/deadline" ... and more. The latest of these was a certificate of service of discovery on 3/1/2024. Nothing since that date. McKenzee has left breadcrumbs in this thread and on reddit as to how to access this public information... that's why I didn't include the above. It's easy to access. Hope this helps.
  9. Yesterday
  10. Apart from the fact it's TROOPERS not Trooper (haha - i'm sure that was a typo), I think this is realistic and possible prediction.
  11. Just checking on the Cavies #1 fan, @Hook'emCavies! Lots of flooding in the Houston area & sounds like more severe weather on the way. I've got family in the North Texas area & they were dodging severe weather last week but all are ok. Prayers for you guys! Topic: can't wait to here their 2024 repertoire... āœ…

  13. I have more fun spitballinā€™ about show themes than making predictions. Iā€™m probably the only one who remembers but I was right about the Boston Giants show and Blooā€™s first Beatles show.
  14. I know zero about the culture inside SCV, other than what I read here on dcp.
  15. Yes, that was ill-advised and a stupid thing to do, but extrapolating that to a ā€œtoxic cultureā€ for the MM is a stretch.
  16. Like me SCV was born in 1967, which makes them 56 years old. Since I am 56 I have to wear my Phantom Regiment club 56 shirts or a dinosaur tee (since 56 makes you an official dinosaur ). I had a clever prediction but now I forgot what that was (it couldn't have been that great if I forgot it in the 3 minutes I have been typing.. Anyway PR will be top 5 and finish ahead of the 56 year old SCV.
  17. I donā€™t think itā€™s a movie but it would be interesting if it was themed in the Belle Epoque era. Just brainstorming until they actually announce.
  18. Well, let's hope this year's staff doesn't gather in Indy for a group photo while flipping everyone off. That was 16 months ago, and had nothing to do with GR.
  19. I'm aware of Santa Clara Vanguard's issue of the past but he's dead. Not sure where you're getting the dismal toxic culture from but the alumni I know, including current MM, only speak about excitement.
  20. 2012 is still one of my favorite Boston shows. Just watching it so thought I would say it.
  21. Yeah, you're most definitely right. Sometimes the obvioius escapes me.
  22. Yeah, I'm not sleeping on the Mandarins either. They are definitely on the rise. JW is THE stud!
