I saw them practice in Aspen yesterday. Very impressive considering they had been in Ogden Utah the night before. Loved what I saw.Considering Aspen is at 8,000 feet I thought the kids handled it well. I live in Glenwood Springs about 40 miles down valley from Aspen.

Just got an e-mail from DCI. The 2015 CDs are available, finally!! According the FAQs for the DVDs, the will be available in January but will only have the Top 12.

1993 Star of Indiana. Bartok and Barber. Just hated the show the first time I saw it in Denver that season. Went home, listened to the source music and developed a better appreciation for what they were doing. When I saw them in Jackson I was gob smacked. That might be the best Hornline I ever heard. And I still think they beat the Cadets in the Finals. One of my all time favorite shows.

That is a impressive list! 5 Corps in one year is what I call excellent growth. I'm especially happy to see Southwind on that list.

I'll be taking Amtrak from Glenwood Springs today. I live 3 blocks from the Station. Ridiculously convenient! And the ride is an awesome sightseeing trip too.

Okay, lets see what the Green Machine has to offer.

I think this show is going to serve the Troopers very well. Loved everything about it. Percussion is really aggressive, Brass good and the Drill once clean will look good. Might be hard to keep them out of Finals. I hope so!

Europa, Folk Song, Avian are among my favorite BK shows. Last year's show was cool too. And Jeremy, I though the 2000 show was stellar and engaging. Takes guts to put a show like that on the field.

This is excellent news. As someone who spent his Drum Corps Career in Open Class(Class A in my day), I am excited to see this growth. I've always maintained that if DCI would pay attention to Open Class, it could grow and it appears that they are doing just that.

The Season ended early that year as well. It was a 9 week season instead of 10 weeks. One more week, I think SCV would have won it.
