Michael "Cozy" Baker Passes Away

Just got back onto the Internet at the hotel where we're staying...... and dear God, what horrible news.

I've been around drum corps for 40-plus years now.... and I'm not sure I've ever met a more unique, refreshing, upbeat person in this activity than Cozy Baker.

For someone so full of life and energy to be taken from us at too young an age.....I know it's God's will, but it's just....well, it's just wrong.

RIP, my friend. Drum corps will never be the same without you.

I never expected this. Even after yesterdays news I still thought he would get better.

This is so sad.

I am blessed to have known him over the last 13 years. He was affable and always had time to talk.

His passion for and knowledge of drum corps was amazing.

It's a sad day for all of us.

RIP old friend

Donnie

WoW.....

This activity is now missing another one of the greats and at a much too young age. Godspeed my friend, you are sorely missed...

RIP

Yours in Corps,

Tony White

A huge loss for the entire activity, and one of the nicest, genuine people you could ever hop to know. RIP Cozy, we will all miss you more than we ever could say.

Although I never had the chance to meet him, I too feel the loss of Cozy.

As a reader, I will miss him.

As a citizen, I thank him.

As a fellow veteran, I salute him.

Fair winds, and following seas Cozy. May you truly enjoy your "final tour".
