Do you think any of the corps can handle playing in Italian?

Boston Crusaders 2000......"Time to Say Goodbye"......in Italian......

Really.

I wish they would play it again.....

Angel - the Fiona Apple version of the Jimi Hendrix tune

Across the Universe

Finlandia by Sibelius - been used a few times before, but I'm not sure if it was as a ballad. The hymn part of Finlandia is wonderful.

Sure on this Shining Night by Barber

Symphonie Romantique by Gottschalk - the opening of the first movement could make a cool light-hearted ballad in the right show

Kvolite Boga by Grechaninov

"Water Night" by Whitacre. Of all his works, this one is my favorite and it hasn't been done. The color tones.....dear god...I can just hear it on the field.

A beautiful song by the woman in my sig...

The Moon Represents My Heart

Probably not for drum corps...but the first song of hers I ever heard...and still one of my favorites....

你怎麼說

A beautiful ballad from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" by Tan Dun...I am using it in the band show I arranged...I'd love to hear a corps do this.

The Chinese version, from the film, has Yo Yo Ma on cello; he is all over the film score, actually.

Excellent choices. Spirit did Hide and Seek in 07.

I like "With the Old Breed (End Credits)" from The Pacific even more. It would sound a little better with the tempo just a little faster IMO. The last 2 minutes are particularly amazing for low brass.
