Ghost
The first NFL game for today can't start soon enough for me. (Forgot to bring my book for this family visit in LA!)
skevinp
DCI had done their diligence. The problem is a publisher decided to change the agreement with no warning. So the publisher is in breach of contract?
BRASSO
From a business standpoint, why wouldn't DCI want to release a statement on the front page of thefannetwork? Dear subscribers, due to some copyright issues, some videos have been removed from thefannetwork. We will be working to restore as much content as possible. Because such a simple request from you to notify loyal DCI FN subscribers in such a proper fashion ( or a simple email notification ) makes you a " complainer "... an " elitist "..." in the minority with your frustrations on this ", etc. DCI is not " elitist " with their inability to offer up even a simple courtesy notification as of yet to loyal, long time, DCI FN subscribers, such as ourselves. You are " an elitist ". At least thats what we are hearing from some in the DCI Team Cheerleaders Squad that are apparently out in full force this weekend here on DCP. Sorry they don't want to be sued.
corpsband
You know i read all the time about how today's kids act with a huge sense of "entitlement". But it can't hold a candle to some of the posters here on DCP whose sense of entitlement boggles the mind.
garfield
DCI had done their diligence. The problem is a publisher decided to change the agreement with no warning. This is the crux of the issue and the least understandable. Is the agreement changed, or did the publisher just decide to try to press him claim to current media? I have no idea, but wouldn't a well-written contract include a provision that would leave it flexible to adjust to future technological advances and/or changes? Possibly this is the case that's being pushed now.
drangin
From what I hear yes they did a cease and desist. This all went down fast. And while I get your frustration, you're just part of a vocal minority of subscribers. Thank you, Jeff, I am always delighted to hear from others what I just am. BRASSO
Their ####### lawyers said to wait. Sorry they don't want to be sued. So a simple email notice to FN subscribers notifying FN subscribers of this deletion of shows would result in their being sued by "####### lawyers " ? And you have determined this is the reason for the non notice, how again ?

The difference there would be in whether one had already paid for a service before feeling entitled to its fulfillment.
garfield
What is porn? We don't have that in Canada. Yea, just keep telling yourself that, eh? Lisa Ann (whoever she is) seems to be very popular up there. Edited December 20, 2014 by garfield
