mingusmonk
I feel like we should have a spotify or youtube playlist for this or something. Hasn't been updated since April, and it is massive. But still 7,420 tracks until it reaches Spotify's 10,000-song limit. https://open.spotify.com/user/121558955/playlist/7boK69R7qxeWoJyJ7LK3xq Playlist updated. offbeat
Like to see Wynton Marsalis Citi Movement on the field. Also so "Blue Note" works ... not sure who I would like to see put them on... Maybe a Corps that can produce something other than that college jazz ensemble sound.
RPK
Would love to hear La Forza del Destino: Overture played. Could fit the Blue Devils. https://youtu.be/jxpNBUg5VmY
Quad Aces
Would love to hear La Forza del Destino: Overture played. Could fit the Blue Devils. https://youtu.be/jxpNBUg5VmY Not criticizing, just genuinely curious - what about that piece fits BD?
Cadevilina Crown
I'd love to see the Crossmen do "Mitä Kaikatat, Kivonen" by Rajaton. I know they played "Butterfly" just last season, but the other piece feels a bit more "Crossmen-like" to me. It's a somewhat simple piece in terms of layering, but if arranged creatively, it can work. (P.S. There are two versions of this piece. The original one was released in 2000, and a bit more up-tempo arrangement was done in 2006.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6fCHZDPcHw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyqkW9FKCJI
KeithHall
Would love to hear a lot of different things but maybe corps will be moving to original compositions due to copyright laws. I wish I could purchase all the recordings that my old corps from the 70's are on plus some of my other favs like Charioteers, Precisionaires, Wausau Story, etc.
Barifonium
THIS! For the love of god this this this this this!!! With Jazz-running, kaleidoscopic drill, jazz- running... if a corps wanted to take some risks, get some pulses pounding, and people hysterical in their seats they could do this. (Looking at you, Crown) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yg8VFMZ6_g8
RPK
Not criticizing, just genuinely curious - what about that piece fits BD? Mainly said it to stir up conversation. Although their great brass sections from the last couple years could play this piece to perfection. Plus one of their drum majors played this in high school, so he knows the ins and outs of the piece

Cadevilina Crown
If I have missed this being mentioned already, please forgive me. Would take a lot of courage, not to mention a brass line with TOTAL control. And would need the perfect show vehicle. That being said... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7ch7uottHU (P.S. -- According to Corpsreps, the only time this has been in Drum Corps was by the White Sabers, a Senior Corps out of Dansville, NY,, in 2015. Apparently, they finished 8th. Maybe some of you Senior Corps followers can let us know how well it "worked.") It has been mentioned several times that Lauridsen does not allow his works to be arranged for the marching arts. Perhaps he's finally lifted it?
