Cadevilina Crown
Considering their current style, Spirit of Atlanta doing an abridged arrangement of this musical number would be the perfect way to open or close a show (although in the original musical, it is the prologue). Plus, we've never heard this Tony-winning composer's music performed on the field.
shmeg212
I think Fire Dance by Allen Vizzutti and Jeff Tyzik would be a fantastic addition to a latin drum corps show. If I had to pick which corps would play it, it would definitely be the Madison Scouts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFzLOd1qYXk
BlueByYou2000
Every time that I hear Rush's 'Natural Science', I always would like to hear a corp do it. It's more than likely outdated by today's standards but I still think it would sound great. For the win! Natural Science has so many levels of cool. Arraigned well for Brass, this has Bluecoats written all over it.A piece by Rush that would work well in today's electronic driven trend is a from 1977 called Xanadu. Have a listen. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=RnDSfDKJGAo Edited July 2, 2016 by BlueByYou2000

Been played a few times, but not as much as Ritual Fire Dance. I love the piece, and saw a performance of it live with Vizzutti in Syracuse a few years ago. JMHO...but there's no way I imagine it being done (DC-wise, that is) by any other than Jim Brady and the Bridgemen. (Quite a year for my daughter, who at the time was a developing trumpet player. She was able to see Vizzutti and Severinson live in the same year. Not together...on separate concerts.) As good as the modern-day players are, I'm not sure any of them could pull it off with the same effect as Brady might have. Brian Tuma
http://www.corpsreps.com/search.cfm Pull up song and type in Fire Dance. Been played a few times, but not as much as Ritual Fire Dance. Yes, but the composition and composers he cited hasn't been played in 15 years. On the other hand, Manuel de Falla's (Ritual) Fire Dance has been played to death. Lance
Not sure how this isn't a part of BK's show this year. Terrible movie, but this is a brilliant piece of music that focuses on life for a select few after the destruction of the earth.
smj02
It's pretty disjointed, but I could see Crown and Klesch having fun with some of the cues in this track:
Lance
I like that. Eshkeri is a pretty underrated film composer, IMO.
