DCI Minnesota - 7/11

Recommended Posts

Forecast continues to ###!!!! Reminiscent of 2010 when many of us spent part of the evening in the restrooms as storms passed through MN.

DCI needs to find a domed stadium for this regional. As much as I prefer outdoor stadiums, there is too much on the line for a large regional to get rained out. Minnesota has not been kind to us.

It's not a regional.

If I were to hazard a guess, they'll be moving it to the new Vikings stadium once it's built.

Ugh... why does it always seem like DCI Minnesota is going to be rained out... I get it that it rains in the summer a lot there but still. Someone please tell me if they will be moving the event to the new US Bank Stadium when it opens next year even though it looks like it's going to be one big echo-y mess?

If the show happens (no rain, or short delay) I see Boston beating both Blue Stars and Madison, and hanging very close to Phantom. Just a hunch.

As for weather, if you go to weather.com and scroll down to the detailed map, click and then zoom into the Wisconsin/Minnesota region, you will see that there are only scattered showers heading toward Minneapolis. Some of them might dry out before getting there, and the worst of the storms look to move south of the city. The "Future" button on the map only takes you up to noon right now, but what I saw looks promising. Fingers crossed.

I'm interested in seeing how Cadets score tonight with their new ending now in place as well as a week of practice under their belts

The run last night (I saw via video, not in person) seemed very strong

Also - where does SCV line up? And how far back are Cavaliers? Also with no Bluecoats those gaps could be off a bit...

And next several sets of groupings? I honestly have zero idea how things will flush out...

Hopefully we get the show in,

George
