Newseditor44
What part of cowboys fighting over a woman in a saloon and then an all out brawl breaks out don't you get? The girls are prostitutes working the room, drunk cowboys fighting? I mean, really? (Note, never things I thought I would type in a drum corps forum). Wait, where have I heard this before? Hmmmm, maybe here: Edited June 21, 2016 by Newseditor44

Tobias
What's this Roxanne everyone keeps talking about? She's the prostitute who lives in the wagon.

corpsband
Did anyone record the encore pieces that Crown played after their show? Esp. like to hear the "Fly" piece.
ashevillemurphy
So the "shakos" are wrapped differently this year...the point of the fabric wrap is in the back, last year it was in the front with the feather...so no plume/feather this year? Doesn't look like it. Unless they haven't gotten them yet

besson57
Crown is using a bunch of synth strings, especially during Roxanne. The Cadets are using an actual violin player for their string parts (and for a visual focus on top of the cake thing). I think I prefer the live string player, but I'm not sure I'd optimize for it if it means 1 less brass player for the whole show in exchange for slightly more impact in Roxanne. Especially because there's already so much going on visually during the fight scenes, drawing visual attention away might be tough. I don't know if it'll have any difference on the final score, but I thought it was an interesting dichotomy between the two corps.
