DCI Eastern Classic - Saturday Aug. 6, 2016

Recommended Posts

I've now heard that Blue Devils will pass Blueoats, that Crown will pass Blue Devils, that SCV will pass Crown, that Cadets will pass SCV, and that Cavies will pass Cadets.

If ALL these predictions are true, then Cavies take the gold.

And it follows that if SCV moves up one slot, then the order will be: Cavies, Cadets, SCV, Crown, Blue Devils, SCV(2?), Bluecoats.....but watch out for ACADEMY, if they gain 3 points and pass Cavies, then they win it all, which puts Madison second, and Troopers third.

Seems like every year there are weather issues on one or both days for Allentown. Grrrr. Seems not fair to the early Saturday corps this year. And since yesterday was fine - will the judges take this into consideration?.

You give an excellent example of why we can't compare scores....even from two consecutive nights.

They have met 9 times. Over the first six times Cadets were over the Cavies an Average of 1.575. Over the last 3 contests, the Cadets were over the Cavies an average of 0.475. It is definitely getting closer. And the "trend" is not in favor the the Cadets (unless you only look at the last two contests where Cadets have extended the lead from 0.25 to 0.425).

Maybe the Cadets are stronger now, but they were scoring better earlier in the season, relatively to the Cavies.

It's close and could happen

Yeah but as scores climb closer to 100, the distances between all of the corps, especially the ones at the top, will get shorter and shorter. I'm not taking anything away from the Cavaliers, they have made a great charge, but making up a half a point with one week to go is no easy task. Cadets are going to improve, just like everyone else. And there's less margin to make up a distance now.

So very true...... making up a 0.5 at the 74 level is not at all like trying to make up 0.5 at 94.

anyone ever get this message "Your account does not include access to this content."

If you look at the upper right side, it may say sign in. You have to sign in twice....once to DCI, and once to DCI Live. If all else fails, log out, close your browser (an excellent time to restart your computer and free up cache) and then reopen your browser (I like Chrome) and go to DCI and start over. BUT YOU DO HAVE TO SIGN IN TWICE.

Although, technically, we can compare INT's score from tonight to last night's score and adjust tonight's scores up or down by the same amount. This should enable us to sleep well.
