Narrow
Maybe they believed it gave away too much, too early on? Most people seem to think it was something like the Blair Witch Project or something seance. Maybe they're altering the theme a bit and the teaser isn't teasing the right theme as accurately anymore? Or maybe they released it early cause they wanted to call dibs on the theme

Im REALLY starting to get frustrated with the amount of show themes out. Its completely ridiculous, and it makes me really frustrated with what the Bluecoats helped create last year. Seems like there would be some outrage about that...... You can't blame Bluecoats for something other corps do (or are not doing I guess). They happened to wait obscenely long to announce their show last year and happened to win. I guess everyone just decided to do the same. That might be what's influencing it but in the end it's each corps call to announce/wait to announce a show. Kinda like the getting mad at Boston Crusaders for a decision that Tom Blair/DCI Show cameramen made to film a lot of Anna for something that was done by someone else. But I digress... All Bloo did was to not participate in the show and tell with the Cadets at Ada, Ohio just down the road. Besides it has been the long tradition of Crown and Blue Devils not to make announcements at least until May. SCV is usually one of the quiet ones as well.

Im not blaming bloo, please note that I said "help start". I understand SCV, BD and others dont announce until later, though I cant help but think that Bloo might have made the trend stick. I think last year we would have seen alot more show themes than we have this year.
DrumManTx
In the end it's every corps decision on their own to announce a show. I know Bluecoats probably had an influence on that decision but in the end it's no ones decision but each corps directors own.

Bluecoats choose to unveil their show in a complete form in Indianapolis, their first performance. I go to their spring training several times each year and the staff exhorts those in attendance to keep the show under wraps so they can spring their surprise. I respect that, and only give my deliberately vague impressions during the spring. Sorry this upsets you so much, but not sorry. I get the upsides, its just hard to cope with the downsides.
