geluf
My takeaway from this show is that the Mandarins are really cool and good.

What needs to happen for these two corps to progress upward? Columbians taking second to Battalion was a pretty big shock - they had a really solid show! Battalion sounded great though & had bigger numbers.

I bet there's not one kid from Fort Mill in that corps. They're still the cleanest corps.

Yup.. thats why these head to head matchups among the Corps are most instructive. All the other shows.. especially those with small panels., or Corps competing at different shows 3,000 miles apart, and comparing those, is almost useless. BD and Bluecoats went head to head for the 1st time tonite, and it was a convincing win.... by a lot. But its still early. Bluecoats have been behind before and came back, so I would not counting them out of a repeat just yet.

Standing O
Its easier to be clean when you stand and play! Follow the leader was big in the 70's. Wings at the end are trend setting (NOT) they did it in 85. BLoo didn't stand a chance, it was a heavy BD judging slate! Come on DCI judges get some Balls.
