We are doing a (very long) day trip to Paris in February while visiting our daughter who lives in London. My wife and I spent 5 days in Paris a few years back. LOVED the city!

We took a train from London to Paris a couple of years ago. Hope you enjoy Paris as much as we did.

I'd suggest taking the Eurostar from London to Paris. Quite an experience. Makes me wish we had true high speed rail in this country. We have taken the Eurostar from St Pancras in London to Brussels and Amsterdam on two prior trips, though to Amsterdam you change to a Thalys line train in Brussels, at least we did. It is a cool experience. We are also taking a train to from King's Cross in London to Edinburgh, Scotland for a few days on this trip.

If you give them a bit of a heads up, Cadets vets from UK have beeen known to wine and dine drum corps folks coming through London particularly if they marched Cadets. Get in touch with Allentown office for contacts for a seasoned vet like yourself. But I'm waiting to see what your band will be doing a la Kilties for next season given your trip north to Scotland. I did a workshop once for a week at U. of Edinburgh and loved it. It was a February no less and they even provided some snow. Just be savvy and aware of their habit of spitting on certain sidewalk spots along the Royal Mile. All of DCP will be awaiting the photos of you in your kilts downing your Haggis on one plate and your warm beverage in the other hand. Coincidently, a friend of my daughter's from HS happens to be a guide at Edinburgh Castle. Thanks for the tip on Cadet vets. Between a day in Paris and 4 in Scotland, our London time is very short this year. As for a kilt...the LAST thing anybody would want to see is me wearing a kilt!
