Is it too early to start the Cadets 2020 thread?

Here is my wish list for Cadets design team 2020

Program Coordinator: Denise Bonfiglio

Drill Writer: Jeff Sacktig

Brass Arranger: Ryan George

Percussion Caption: Tom Aungst

Guard Caption Head: Rick Subel

Front Ensemble: Neil Larrivee

The powers that be should be trying to make things happen ASAP, so that any existing members that are having doubts about coming back next season are immediately infused with renewed enthusiasm and positive thoughts about the future.

Oh gods no, not Ryan George.  He's already associated with Boston, and that's enough. How about Bocook or Prime?

to an 18 year old, you can compare. G brass? 2 valves in some cases? those uniforms? no electronics? to an 18 year old today, anything 80's and 90's is before they were born. Like me watching corps play songs from the early 60's. it's old.

I like music from the 60s and such too.

Heck, even 50s and 40s....

Old is sometimes classic and classy....

Heck,  I was born in '46 so the music of the 40s and 50s were on in my house all the time.  And the 60s was my decade.  Entered HS in 61 and graduated from college in 69.

Have they been making music since then?

Right, having a son with multiple saxophones, a clarinet and a flute, I can attest to the fact that maintenance is difficult.  And he never marched, let alone traveled 10000 miles a summer competing.  Those suckers are difficult animals.

Full time repair tech, pads, parts... you bet they're persnickety!

Well my guess would be that the corps would try and offset with reed sponsorships... figure a reed wiped out daily...

...and, to the younger crowd, boring.

Guess I know some boring millennials, as they pick and choose what to listen to from then to now....

My son must be totally boring. He listens to Pink Floyd, The Who. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, etc. I told him to get his own music and he told me “No. My generation’s music $u€ks!”
