Another Beanpot is over. Great night to be outside and a great night of drum corps.

Spartans was the first competing corps. Their show is amazing and they are focused. They owned the audience with their ballad.

7th Regiment: show had more of a punch and they were far more confident this evening. They have some excellent soloists.

At the East Coast Classic the Spartans Came out on fire which was great to see. You could tell before they started it would happen because they were pumping themselves up and high fiving and just amped up to perform.  7th Regiment seemed timid and nervous and was probably just happy to get through their first show. There was a clear difference but I knew they would come back in Lynn and kick butt!  Sometimes you just have to get that first show in front of 3,500 people done so you can relax. Definitely been in both situations.

7th Regiment often has a younger corps and the first show has jitters, but when they leave for the Open Class tour in July, they are ready. They also tend to have a younger average age which makes what they do all the more impressive.

Shame on the Crusaders for turning their back on long time show sponsor Cardinals Alumni.

Nope, I don't think any disrespect was intended on BAC's part.
The corps clearly announced they were trimming the tour schedule and improving the student experience.
The Beanpot still had a strong lineup and featured arguably the top corps of this season so far.

Nice.  You've been on DCP for less than a week and you are already manufacturing a controversy where none exists.
