Non-profits cannot discriminate on the basis of gender, race etc. Especially in lawsuit happy Illinois. The Boy Scouts have gone co-ed, for pete's sake. Cut me a break already, it’s getting ridiculous. BTW… boys aren’t allowed to join the Girl Scouts and have you ever heard of fraternities and sororities???? Fraternal organizations can choose membership how they please. I don’t believe the “time has passed.” There are certain situations where gender exclusive activities have merit. For example, my daughter goes to an all-girls summer camp, and my son goes to an all-boys camp. Girls have many options to march drum corps.
