I get your point. Still don't think it's useful to compare the two nights, but it doesn't really matter all that much in the end.

I’m not comparing 2 nights.  I’m saying (challenging the extra rehearsal remarks) no one got any extra rehearsal yesterday for tonight because of yesterdays show.  When this corps in yesterdays show had rehearsal the day before when some corps had a show Thursday.  I’m saying it all evens out over the last week.  There was no advantage or disadvantage relative to rehearsal times.

My interpretation is that only 3 scores are averaged for each corps.

I corps A only attended Atlanta that is one of the 3 scores.

If corps B attended Atlanta AND Winston-Salem then those 2 would be averaged and that number would be one of the 3 for seeding (along with San Antonio and Allentown).

If corps C attended Winston-Salem only then that would be 1 of the 3 averaged scores.

If corps D attended Nightbeat and Atlanta then those 2 scores would be averaged to provide one of the 3 for seeding.

read the last sentence provided by DCI. It's a 4 score average.

I read that sentence about the cities/events but I did not see the number 4 anywhere.

I interpret that the intent was to average 3 numerical score each one week apart. Using 2 numbers weighted equally from the same weekend would devalue San Antonio and Allentown.

Seeing Cadets, Mandarins and Phantom separated by 0.15 is so awesome!! People have been predicting this battle from week 1 and it is living up to the hype.

The corps that performed today had an extra day compared to when they all last competed together at the same show.

But that's not true for everyone, is it? What did Crown do on Thursday and Friday when they weren't performing? Some corps (BD and BAC) got 1 day of rehearsal between Thursday and when they performed at Allentown. Some (Crown) got 2. And one (Bloo) got zero.

“4” was what I was questioning since Winston Salem is not a regional. It’s only 4 if you did all 4. You don’t need to make up for that W/S show

That .4 penalty for Bloo in Atlanta is what is keeping them from being the #3 seed.
Take that out and their average is 92.881
