The prop might be the Stay- Puft Marshmellow Man on strings floating over our heads. Edited July 26, 2006 by X DM
festive
In response to the original post, I would only leave DCI if the Santa Clara Vanguard left DCI. If there were no Phantom Regiment, that'd be it for me. Phantom Regiment could turn into an elite bassoon/dulcimer/oboe squadron and I'd still be there (albeit with ear plugs so I'd not have to hear it). They can include trained monkeys playing saxophone in the pit, or a pan flute soloist playing crap from Titanic (though I would try to dissuade them, for our sanity's sake). But I can't imagine drum corps without Regiment.

morganhill
How do you explain the hundreds and even thousands of kids that sacrifice time, effort and money to march those "amoeba drills" and wear those "clown costumes"? Seems safe to assume that they enjoy it. If you don't, that's fine. But what the poster you quoted said was that it's about the kids, and they were absolutely right. Nowhere did they say that it's about catering to morganhill. Please take your trolling elsewhere. It's a statement of fact. When you disagree with someone you invite them to leave? Obviously you can't face the truth. Pity.
cire
Mine's pretty easy:When it stopped being about the audience. its never been about the audience. the show will happen whether an audience is there or not. drum corps is about the kids and that organization
