How it is handled going forward will determine if that actually happens. And yes, I agree that things should be better in the long run as this is something that has been around the activity for decades. It's about time to clean it up. That the board did not suspend him while they investigated the accusations shows they have already mishandled this problem. At a minimum, Hopkins should step aside until this is all resolved. My guess is he resigns by next week. If he is on the road with the corps this summer, then we know the Cadets are not bigger than George Hopkins.

Per the FBI, the national average rate of FALSE claims of sexual assault is 3% (this is in line with virtually all other crimes for false claims). There are nine accusers. To figure out the mathematical probability that all nine accusers are lying we simply calculate x (false chance) to the power of n (number of accusers): 0.03^9 The result: the odds that all nine claims are false is 1 in 50 TRILLION.
Popular Post hostrauser
In other words, there's virtually no chance George Hopkins is innocent here. He needs to resign. Failing that, the YEA board needs to terminate him. Failing THAT, DCI needs to remove him or The Cadets entirely from DCI events until a change is made.

This one could also be shut down. no as long as conversation stays controlled it'll stay open. It's legit news in a legit paper. it's a topic hinted at on here for a while, as it's a story that amazingly stayed quiet for months, but it's out now. We just have to act like adults.

I can't imagine that it would come to that, but the idea of removing The Cadets entirely from DCI events is ridiculous and would mostly just hurt the current members.

Seems like The Cadets needs a new director and a new board.
