contrajedi8
being told to cheer and donate cash if you dont like what you see and hear Along with this: The idea that every performance, regardless of quality (or lack thereof), deserves a standing ovation. I remember the rationale. "But the kids tried really hard!" Sorry. This isn't little league tee-ball. Not everybody gets a trophy and there are no awards for "trying really hard." You're performing for cash-paying customers who expect to be entertained. If I went out there and my corps took a dump on the field, I wouldn't expect it. Unless you're at Normal. Those bandos will cheer for anything.

TerriTroop
I've also had about enough of this INT crap. It used to be funny. Then people drove it into the ground. Stop that. I've heard rumors that INT is folding.
Triple Forte
What bugs you? let's not beat the dead mic'd horse again... but what are some things in shows that just bug you? The overuse of dissonant disjointed music The "Vanguard yell"...it's getting a bit much...and it's spilling over where other corps names are being called out during a quiet part's of their show's A featured horn player playing four half notes and expecting applause for playing a solo 2003 Fight Club Lack of jazz Lack of solo and ensemble work Brass and percussion players who tilt their head back (This ain't you local band program) Calling corps members "Students" and not "members" Edited March 1, 2009 by Triple Forte
