That was my reaction. Also comes with a honey maple dipping sauce. It's like breakfast, but better

No, it was the tricolor flag that was in question. But...it doesn't seem like it is anything close to a real flag

A triforce flag would be so much cooler.

Give me a break....really?

This exact same debate came up on the DCA side of things last year when the Hurricanes used flags that resembled the Great Britain flag.

Bear in mind a lot of British people still call our flag the Union Jack rather than the Union Flag (it's only a Jack if it flies on a ship) I don't think many of us would get too bent out of shape at a drum corps spinning it in a show...

The flags that appear near the end of the SCV show are stunning. SPOILER ALERT.

As other posters have mentioned, after "Bring Him Home", there are solid colored red, blue, and white flags that are tossed backfield, parallel to the back sidelines, beyond the barricade backdrops.

It is a great effect.

More recently, after the solid colored flags are tossed, a full "endzone to endzone" French flag toss happens, also backfield beyond the barricades. This new effect happens rapidly. These miniature flags are spun straight up, then naturally head down, and this whole effect speeds by in two seconds.

Beyond the barricade, isn't there a world you long to see?

Then, immediately after the backfield endzone to endzone visual, another beautiful flag effect happens along the front sidelines. Huge (four?) colorful (square?) mostly red and gold banners are raised and just as quickly lowered, in what seems to last only 5-7 seconds tops. It is a thrilling moment.

Legitimate question by the OP, not a slam on SCV but a question. Thank you to all that added insightful and/or funny comments. As to those that just let us know that this was really the worst thread ever on DCP or that a Drum Corps Planet question does not merit a being asked......why did you take the time to respond? This is a discussion forum, not a place for you to tell other to sit down and shut up.

It's more than four - probably at least 8, enough to go from about the 30 to 30, I think. They are 8-10' enlargements of the Tricolor/Fleur de lis silk the rest of the guard uses just after that, which are shown earlier in this thread. Another nice surprise effect, in a show full of them - also a throwback as the flash-on-the-sideline-with-huge-flag thing was big in the late 90's, but has been dormant a while.

Wait. This is the flag of France we're talking about, right? FRANCE.

What are they gonna do? Surrender?

They couldn't resist the chance to bash the US's most enduring ally?
