Talk about talent.

Yep. I would think picking music and styles shouldn't be a problem when you have someone playing in a major symphony and someone who has played with Maynard Ferguson, on the same staff..

Geez...

Who will is designing the Guard and Visual for the Cavaliers this offseason ? Does anybody know if they'll be any changes there ? The Cavaliers were 9th in Guard and 9th in Visual Ana. at Finals. Since Michael Gaines left designing the Visual, its been their Visual side that has chiefly resulted in the placement slippage, and its the Visual and the Guard thst drives the points under ther current judging sheets more than the brass. Madison and Boston know this full well too.

Agreed, but their Music Ensemble (8th) , Music GE (8th) and Brass (9th) have also been lower as well. While GE is still based in part on design, having a much more polished and musical hornline will only help those numbers across the board. You make a good case with Visual, but at least this is a major step in the right direction towards shoring up a big piece of the pie.

Speaking of, rumor is he may be headed to Spirit. Great ideas, super hard drill.... Also rumblings of some Troopers brass folks headed to Spirit. Sounds like an overhaul from the top down after all.. Of course, all rumors until a press release happens anyways...

Lots of changes everywhere! Its a fun time of year! :tongue:/>/>

Though all should wait for official announcements for some information, seems very accurate that several key staff have resigned from Spirit as per those person's facebook accounts.Includes corps director, program coordinator, guard caption head, and drill writer. So the term overhaul implies getting rid of people and replacing them. These folks have been there for a while and have turned Spirit around. They are leaving for whatever reasons. Replacing seems a more accurate term than overhaul, though I understand that implying firings makes some people feel more excited and in the know.

Sounds like a replacing from the top down after all. Much better..

Most of those who were mentioned above came from Colts a few years back so it makes sense that they would travel together. Interested to see where they go from here.

I do think that Jeremy Hunt is a brilliant drill writer, and a big score to whichever corps picks him up next.

Brilliant? That's a strong adjective.....
