2000Cadet Posted July 19, 2015 Share Posted July 19, 2015 I mostly like BD's changes -- especially the silent saber toss during the break in the ballad -- but the new ending for the ballad feels... unresolved and lame, to me? More notes, but not an improvement. All in all: -- Cadets impress me the most (but please in the future rethink having the guard ping pong back and forth across the field like it's 1992) -- BD excites and surprises me the most (but enough with rushing the front sideline like World War Z zombies) -- SCV moves me and makes me think the most (heart emoji; never change) Crown and PR just aren't connecting with me this year, tbh. That's how it goes for the lower-ranked corps in a regional. But going by this show, Genesis just fell from second place in Open Class to seventh. Fortunately, DCI won't be using this score when seeding the O.C. Prelims! I only had time to watch the first twelve corps today. LOL I'm sorry, that's a little bit ridiculous. 6th would have been a trainwreck. 3rd with 2nd in content and less than half a point behind the Blue Devils is not a train wreck. I chased a guy once who ###### me off in Madison - he ran like a little girl I'm tough like that. lol Haha the wifey had to hold me back. Me and my "super badassness" plus it was a stupid kid so whatever. It just stung a little too hard. But tonight was honestly awesome. That top 5. Or even 6 including BK is so good. They were just awful tonight. Still, top 5 all really cool shows this year! :) OK Cadets guard is not BD or Crown this year, but awful? What are examples of how awful they are?
