Bah-weep grannah, weep ninny-bon.

One whole internet dollar for any child of the 80s that gets that reference.

Totally incomprehensible to a Baby Boomer.

Yes. It's always great to take joy in the failure of others. Makes for a great story.

Perhaps, with DC-86's permission, we can rename this thread "Staff Schadenfreude".

No they weren't. YEA approached them and when it was clear YEA wanted to take (strip) elements from Boston, Boston rejected them.

Boston didn't want to sling candy to band moms so they were like "up out".

Hi Larry G!

NOPE! Carolina Crown is NOT, repeat NOT, a part of YEA!
We have contracted with YEA to supply certain specific services to us. YEA is
VERY much the "hired help", and Carolina Crown's executive board and executive
director have final say on all proposals received from YEA.
Carolina Crown conitnues to be an independantly run organization.
It is a common business practice for businesses and corporations to hire
outside advisors and specialists to augment their own expertise.

I feel that list may be out of date, as I know of one person who definitely is on the current board, and his name is not listed there.

YEA (Cadets) is advertising for a social media persons, so this does not surprise me. It is their "public face" however. For all I know it may be years out of date. Anyone have an updated BOD list?

Having directly worked with other non-profits in the past...I will attest that while a board may have a say and are many times community leaders in their own fields (police chiefs and state senators for example)...many times...the CEO is the one that has the ultimate power and authority on the non-profits decisions...I've seen first hand many of cases where the CEO acted against it's own board recommmendations...does this mean I know how YEA is run?...absolutely not...but I could imagine the board being in "name only" in this situation as well...
