TOC - Broken Arrow, OK - July 18

To be honest, I think the singer sings well ... the problem is the design choice. Why is she there upstaging that hornline? She would have to be Idina Menzel to justify the design choice.

I don't mind the singing.  It's not like they're using it to cover up poor execution. And at least she sings well.

I'm not so sure...she hits the right notes, but it reminds me of my days as a child going to church and watching the same 65 year old woman who thinks she can sing her way into heaven. There's an old lady wobble to that sound. For reference check out anything by Sandi Patty

First time I've seen the show in a while, they've definitely slimmed down the singing in the ballad a lot.

Please, please, please can we lay off this young woman singer!  All it takes is for someone to tell her about the things being said about her on DCP to totally wreck her confidence.  She sounds a little shook tonight.  Don't let this forum be the cause.  Please just leave her along.

It's not the singer. She's got a wonderful voice. It's the fact that she's there at all that is the insult. It feels like crowns designers are literally spitting in the face of fans.

Lol at the football helmet.  That will make sense in Indy as I presume they're going to cover the center one but here...nope.

I was just going to say the same thing.  Regardless of whether or not we feel Crown should put this in their show, let's please remember this is someone's daughter/sister/friend, etc.  She's got a major part in this production that not many could handle.  The vocal instrument can be the easiest and yet hardest to play.

I think the issue has to do more with balancing her with the brass. Huge issue IMHO.

Never realized how much this sounds like Disney.

The ballad is a Disney song, isn't it?
