N.E. Brigand
At what point in that 12-minute video does the discussion of amplification and electronics begin?
Popular Post BRASSO
GH questions what other Corps are doing in taking the activity, but I noticed not a single word from him was heard of the activity utilizing a standalone, non percussive, 9 person Choir that does no physical movement except " park and bark ( sing ) " in place the entire show. Don't get me wrong, its a fine Choir, but a standalone Choir that is involved in no marching at all in a show ( and not part of the FE ) is every bit as controversial a development in modern day DCI Competition as his rather public naming of SCV here for his public criticisms of their use of enhanced amplification of the their brass ensembles during portions of their show. Its " controversial " when a Choir sings as long, or longer, in a Drum & Bugle Corps Competition than a Brass line plays their instruments. He may not think thats " something to talk about in the off season rules congress ", but you can bet your life that others do. N.E. Brigand
The pit has been allowed to park and bark, er, bash, for 37 years. Why is it OK for them but not the brass?
BoaDci
I love the MRT interviews. So informative, unbiased too. Great way to get updated.

Just Here
For all the GH comments that seem more negative in tone, I am curious what people really want from the Cadets that they feel they are not getting. If they want a corps that is going to win a championship every other year, that doesn't seem realistic as the only corps that can practically guarantee such is BD. If memory serves, this is the first time the Cadets have been out of the top 5 since 1991. So...what does the audience here really want? The design of the show, in my opinion, could be better but I'm not sure this show would top five now as it did in yester-year without major tweaking. The Cadets finished 6th in 2016, their lowest placement since 1991. If the Cadets finish 7th Saturday, it will be their first time finishing outside the top 6 since 1981.
