I recall before the 2013 season, he said that he didn't know that SCV had played that same Barber symphony in 1999. Whoa - that's absurd. I remember the interview, he said when they decided to play it he wasn't thinking about the fact SCV had played it in 99. And once it popped in his mind it was like "oh ####" lol
George Dixon
Congrats to C2 for another strong year in DCA. Finished in 3rd tonight with real surge during the last couple weeks of the season. A younger corps that has a great foundation to build upon in 2018!

C2 Percussion came within one tenth of repeating as high percussion...so cool!

Icer
One of the nice things about DCA is that even though the Bucs tend to rule the roost (and to be honest, they are generally the best), there is genuine competition on finals weekend. Each of the last 4 years, C2 has used a strong championships to improve on their season performance.

Just thoughts on what I've been thinking. I hope Cadets get their @sses in check, but the way things have gone over the past few years, I truly doubt it. I just realized this is Cadets 2018 thread, it is already 48 pages long...on September 3rd no less, and there is no news on staff changes, show concepts, anything. Oh well, back to real life! Neve mind, not worth it.. Edited September 5, 2017 by MikeRapp

Note how some are claiming still that Cadets' drill this summer was a disaster, but no one has commented that the same drill writer wrote for the Reading Bucs this summer with their almost perfect visual and GE scores. I know it is DCA, not DCI, and some will claim its an apple and oranges comparison, but congratulations to Bobby Jones. And the other Mr. Templin did a nice job with bronze winning C2.
