I was watching this video and you kind of miss the combo of a vibe part and a marimba part playing opposite things. So far this season it seems that perc has been on the weaker side for the corps. It’s part of the writing style in support of the jazz texture with voice As difficult as it is to delineate differences between percussion ensembles, the most noticeable is that Bloo has a tremendous amount of physical and environmental demand. Some of that is staging and movement while playing a very layered jazz book within the battery for example. IMO both Bloo and also Boston will receive credit for their demand and begin to move up in percussion.
