Yeah it's the percussion.

Percussion judge was harsh on Crown tonight.  Also was not rewarding the Colts line like some other judges have, otherwise the Colts might have passed up BK.

Great scores. Great job to all the corps. Cadets got a nice score. Such a great show. Not surprised by Boston's score. Monster performance ensemble. Bloo and SCV had nice scores as well. SCV is not going to give up folks. And Bloo just needs to clean and they can still be very dangerous. Oh yea, and then there is Crown. Wonderful job by Crown.

Talk about an excellent top 5 this year. And 6-10 is going to be a monster fight. And then there is 11-15 or so. I love it. Can't wait for semis and finals.

Their percussion is doing really well, too. It’s just like, how can they surpass Boston, SCV, BD, Bluecoats, and Cadets? Strong lines this year.

Crown has a better guard than percussion section again. It seems that balance has been restored to the universe

No brass judge probably helped SCV as they were the only corps in the top four tonight who scored higher in music analysis in Broken Arrow. So, their score may have been a few tenths higher than it would be otherwise and the top three might have been a tenth of two lower. It did not impact the scores enough to change positions and SCV certainly made a big jump across the board.

Finals cutoff is still looking really close between BK, Colts, and Crossmen (the last of which got a 77.7 tonight in Austin). Very interested to see how things will shake out between the three corps on Saturday.
