AFTER GUILTY PLEAS IN 2020, FORMER CORPS DIRECTOR ATTENDS HIS FIRST DCI EVENTS

One thing that could happen right now is leadership for whatever Corps his daughter teaches at goes to her & says ‘tell your dad to stop attending DCI events or we will reassign you to food truck (not dissing food truck workers) or fire you or whatever’

I’m uncomfortable with this, TBH.

We'll see her again soon, then, as Varsity is more actively partnering with DCI.

Mike

Sad we expect it to happen

Whatever corps that is. 😭

They're culpable too if they let him that close to corps members in the lot or anywhere else in the community. It's not like they didn't know the connection... or, in some bizarre case they actually didn't, that's not any better. I wasn't there, so I'm really trying to hold back my anger for whoever this was.

I'm also withholding my opinions of his daughter in these matters. I've heard too many conflicting reports and I'm really trying to reserve judgement.

Well you can pick your nose but not your family

I have just had either the best or worst idea in a long time.

A Corps could do a Pulp Fiction show.  But the scene in the pawn shop basement could feature ‘you know who’ as Zed.   And then go medieval on his *ss.

Plus, a top DCI hornline playing Misirlou would be epic.

Plus plus they could hire Ving Rhames and Samual L. Jackson to do the narration.

Thanks for that. I'm not trying to manifest things that aren't there, despite my anger. ✊🏽

Understood.  I don't always see right when i'm "seeing red" either.

Hang in there and don't forget to lean into your support circles!

I can only imagine how complicated it must be to employ her in this activity, despite her accomplishments.

You can’t judge the child on the sins of the parent.

Ohhhhhh, Drum Corps.  Some things never-ever change and it's shameful.

And during the 50th anniversary no less.

In a sick, twisted, but wholly honest way... could we really celebrate the first 50 years of DCI without having an abuser/abuse situation?  It's been as much a part of DCI as company fronts.
