If I won the drum corps lottery, here's how finals would play out.

Crown takes the brass caption, Bluecoats take the percussion caption, and either one of them takes the guard caption.

Of course, the drum corps gods didn't listen to me last year either, so . . . . .

4 - Santa Clara Vanguard (on an island)

5 - Cadets (Brass/Percussion gets them here)

8 - Phantom Regiment (could be 7th)

9 - Blue Stars (9th in GE at all the regionals)

10 - Crossmen (could have The Academy on their heels)

22 out of the last 23 years, BD has medaled. Medaling for BD is almost a guarantee in DCI these days now.

I'm hoping the Blue Stars will finish 7th; but will probably finish 8th. Either besting The Blue Knights or Regiment will be the, unfortunate, consolation prize for not getting 7th. Regardless of what happens, this has been an awesome summer for the Blue Stars. The members were challenged with a very well designed show and ran with it. Hopefully, they will carry over all the positives from this year into the next. FCO!
