Ghost
Is it just me or a lot of techs doing work at multiple places this year? Two weeks here, two weeks there etc., work the caption heads at the DCI party and you may move up the ladder.
GUARDLING
Two weeks here, two weeks there etc., work the caption heads at the DCI party and you may move up the ladder. Takes alot more than that. Ive always said a good tech is worth their weight in gold. There are alot less capable people around than many think. Or ones that really want to do this. Designers are key BUT a great tech really makes it all happen. Of course as do the members. Nothing beats a great tech Edited October 19, 2015 by GUARDLING

If a good tech is not utilized to the fullest, shame on that staff or corps. An opportunity missed for sure. mj3004
I must have missed it in this thread. Which techs are splitting time at multiple corps?
xandandl
I know one who is doing 3 DCI corps and 1 DCA corps this summer because winter camp weekends are not coincidental but spread out and summer tour will require a few weeks here and a few weeks there. Remember some techs are known for their specialties and some drill staffs are using that to the max rather than carrying someone who is only passable on many things. garfield
Pacific Crest has made some major structural design team CHANGES that seem to focus design in the creative juices of one leader instead of a more "design by committee" approach last year. Steven Estudillo as Creative Director, Advised by Scott Koter of Cavaliers fame Pete Lucero arranging battery in-house this year. Angela Tousley moves from guard caption head to design with focus on choreography, flag & costume design and visual coordination. Brian Dinkle (of BD staff fame) on front ensemble John Meehan on brass
