Cappybara
Who were the judges? From last night?
yogitom
First to break 80. Does anyone care? If it were Crown you'd be honking like there's no tomorrow. You're the biggest Crown honk on this forum. You're attempt at diminishing BD's accomplishment is laughable.

ftwdrummer
So, question that's possibly been answered already, but digging through 83 pages of posts is more difficult than just asking anew: There's a bit in the opener, just after the first time "Cape Fear" appears, that appears to be more or less lifted straight from this part of the 2008 opener: https://youtu.be/jYwTJseG-E4?t=3m36s Since there don't appear to be any pieces common to both shows, any insight on what this is? Glyde hanging a name now on something original he wrote in 2008 and is reusing, perhaps?

Cadevilina Crown
That piece is Bach's Two-Part Invention No.4 in d minor, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6saQkGy4WxI Specifically, Gordon Goodwin's jazz arrangement. That was my other guess, but it threw me since it wasn't listed in the musical selections for this year. Thanks!
84BDsop
A high school friend of mine is in the color guard at BDB. Rumor has it, BD is flying in Skrillex or Justin Bieber to a rehearsal and maybe trying a Clara-type idea at finals??? Nope....Beiber is 22, but was born March 1, so no bonus year for him. Skrillex is 28. They're too old to appear in a DCI show....BD would not be able to put them in if they wanted to. Now either of them attending a rehearsal and speaking with the corps about the music like Holsinger did with Cadets in 93....THAT'S possible. And trust me....not only do BD members not care about fan's thoughts on their score, if your comments DO get under their skin, the reaction is to work harder to score even higher. PO'ed Blue Devils are dangerous!
