BranchHill
Blue Knights I have not swooned over a show in too long. Sumptuous. The Cavaliers So on-brand. The Blue Devils/Coats The Champions! Pacific Crest I love an out-of-nowhere hit. Theme from "Chinatown" was cinematic magic. Spartans Thrilling. But that opening ... WOW! Troopers The rebrand/reboot and music to back it up bodes nicely. Jersey Surf Lovely. Design and execution.

jwillis35
Bluecoats - fantastic design, uniforms, music, guard, killer staging and transitions, super entertaining Blue Devils - fantastic design, guard, aggressive percussion, super entertaining Carolina Crown - brass line, drill, awesome music! Boston Crusaders - music, show design, guard, very entertaining Cavaliers - love the uniforms, best brass in years for them, nice music book, killer choreography and design, fan friendly show Blue Knights- Music Music Music Phantom Regiment - one of the more improved corps over the summer, fantastic music and a powerful performance on Finals night They were all good! So many other great shows. I'll definitely be listening to SCV's music book over the winter for sure.
jeffmolnar
1. Bluecoats - Nothing else is even close. Very fun to watch, but I wish the soloists had been more reliable. 2. Carolina Crown - Lots of marching with the typical Crown brass sound. This will get a lot of play from me. 3. Blue Devils - This show is packed with cool moments. Best use of props this season by far. ~ big gap ~ 4. SCV - Only here because of the high level of achievement from the members. From a design standpoint this show was a huge swing and a miss, but there are still some nice brass moments. 5. Blue Knights - Didn't understand the narration and thought it was very distracting, but they played very well. Brings out my '05 nostalgia. I probably won't revisit any other shows besides those.

Jurassic Lancer
Bluecoats - no surprise coming from me. Blue Devils - I was mesmerized. Brilliant use of that prop! And what was the prop? A friggin wall! Cavies - A much more mature design from recent offerings and a great horn line! Boston - What a guard! But stealing the walking man (giant) from THE Ohio State marching band ... I am so conflicted! Crown - That Brass! Visual ... not so much. But still their best show since Relentless. boxingfred
Bluecoats- When I heard The Bluecoats were doing Beatles music I thought, Oh great another corps facking up Beatles music. But, Wow! I was impressed. Crossmen- During finals week they brought the ENERGY and said WE ARE NOT GOING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT! Vanguard- My only problem with SCV was after the first song they played through all of their applause lines. The was never a equal exchange of positive energy. Oh and the uniforms sucked. But I loved the show. Boston- Just a fun show to watch. The guard was spectacular! Blue Devils- Those kids perform and perform even better when challenged. Madison- I really liked what they were trying to do, they just didn't have the horses to pull it off. Crown- They march and play so well. The pastel uniforms didn't match the boldness of their show. Phantom- I love how much they improved during the season, They were terrible the first couple of shows. Spirit- They improved over the previous year just like a good corps should. Unfortunately so did the corps ahead of them. Blue Knight- They would have been much higher but their rewrites of Liquid didn't sit well with me at the end. Cavaliers- They scared a few corps this year. Hopefully next year they'll be knocking on the door. The Field- Lots of great drum corps this year!
