i'm not going home option or not, but if DCA is going to lose $$, i get it. not happy about it, but i get it. that says to me some serious marketing needs to be done as well as finding a finals location people want to go to ( and is near corps)

I've always liked the anonymous name-dropping to validate one's own opinions while simultaneously dismissing others who don't anonymously name-drop. It's the internet forum equivalent of the school-yard "well, my dad can beat up your dad".

I'm looking forward to my oldest son, after working his tail off and marching two years in DCA, get to live his dream out and march with the Madison Scouts this year. Scores are nice, championships even better, but seeing someone achieve their dream like that is what makes this activity so great.

I'm looking forward to having a beer with thirdcoast at the Drums On Parade Tailgate.

I rarely have had to secure music rights, but I have much firsthand knowledge of this for securing the rights to plays. Those agreements often include a clause instructing the theater that it may not publicize the production until the agreement has been signed by both parties and a deposit has been paid.

Ehh, last year had some serious visual design and performance issues. I feel like trying to fix that kept the whole package from developing. Love listening to it, but I feel like they finished in the right place. I'm not blind to that. Was pretty obvious numbers wise from SA out. Looking forward to what the new visual staff, design and teaching will do. Rest is perfectly fine and should do really well. Word is the drums are REALLY hot this year.

And they do have the stage up front so she can maybe do a ho dance while fiddling...😳

Well, 1982 so far: -Carefully planned Winter -Larry and I recently talked about this-- bringing in the right educators who could give us knowledge we didn't have to get us to the next level and then some -Things going wildly beyond expectations through the Grand Prix, not knowing what to do when we won and driving everyone else nuts part by accident, part because no one expected us to actually figure much out The next part would be partly why Sun dug in, did what they had to do, and partly why we stalled out. There are very good reasons- mainly because of what happened with early season post contest critiques. The same thing still happens today if you're running way in the front early, and frankly I think a lot of people learned from what happened in 1982 from this issue. More later.

Ok lets clear this up once and for all, "I Go On" is not the name of the show, I know the theme of the show this year. It will absolutely BLOW YOUR MIND but it is not "I Go On", that was just a graphic made by a member of the corps. Now I will tell you, if you look closely, you will find a clue to the theme this year.
