drumcorpsfever
When I was marching late 90's we sometimes went 6-7 weeks without a camp. Like first weekend of Jan., and then not until the last weekend of Feb. While I do think it looks odd when looking for the month on there, I am sure they know what they're doing and this would not be the schedule if it wasn't going to work. Another thing that makes things easier is today's technology. Regular electronic updates, social network, and performance touchpoints provides opportunities that didn't exist not so long ago. Plus, the level of talent is at a higher level today in most cases. It's really quite amazing how efficient today's performers and instruction staff are. In fact, an entire discussion thread could be devoted to modern instruction and development techniques used by today's music educators. MotoSurfBass
Sounds like the drumline is going to be on fire this summer... gotta love it. The drums are gonna be great, but the horns are also taking it up another level if what I heard at the December camp sets a trend.

elmhurstmusiced
Whats up with the drum line this year? Who is running the Scouts drum line? Similar crew/writers to last year, which was a step-up from 2010-2011, IMHO.
