2000Cadet
Bluecoats' "Criminal", Crown's "Triple Crown", Crown's "e=mc2", and Phantom's 2008 "Spartacus". For me, anyway. I don't remember there being narration in Spartacus...
Precious Roy
First time hearing Cadets' narration. Haven't heard a voice like that since John Facenda. Natural talent, and well done.
SopSauceBaus
I'm impressed with Crown's drumline so far. It stands out better than the Cadets in terms of how it's arranged. I think Crown will compete much better in percussion this year. 4th place is my prediction come finals night. So, you mean easier?
N.E. Brigand
I don't remember there being narration in Spartacus... "I am Spartacus!" is narration, just not amplified narration.
2000Cadet
"I am Spartacus!" is narration, just not amplified narration. Ahh I understand. Although, I would disagree that was more of an effect as opposed to "narration" given narration is sort of like telling a story, but I guess I don't need to get all technical lol....though I do see your point. DrumManTx
Imagine how nuts throwing in Boston, Madison, and Bluecoats Saturday will be scoring wise?
jwillis35
Looks like Crown was pretty soundly beaten in almost every category, but especially "GE Visual Rep." Anyone know what this refers to? This is the construction of the visual show. Not how well it's performed, but how well is it constructed. Drill, choreography, staging, color, integration of guard, brass, percussion, etc. In this area I really felt the Cadets were clearly better. Their drill, at this point, is vastly better than Crown's.
eric49
DCI Opening night in sarcastic summary: Troopers: "Hey, we performed too!" Cavaliers: "You see, our show is a metaphor for how we will come back! See! Listen at our marimbas! No, not the high brass, just the marimbas!" Phantom: "Lets just play block chords for 12 minutes, it will be great!" Cadets: "But vocals worked for Carolina Crown last year!!" Crown: "What are you talking about?! This show is completely different than last year! We count down instead of up!"
