mfrontz
Just one last comment before I hit the hay. No one whines when a trumpet soloist is a little off on the high note or hits the higher partial. But a vocalist misses a few and she is 'pitchy.'

I didn't see tonight's show, but my experience is that people note brass mistakes all the time.

friendwhale
My short rundown of tonight Bones - Great Stars - Also great Cadets - Holy smokes Cavies - Kicked butt Crown - Ehh... Kinda boring if you ask me Bloo - Also kicked butt. All corps did fantastic though and I can't wait to see more shows, and how the competition unfolds

She had to do one thing sing and that sounded like butt.

Looking at the score sheet, surprised BStars got last in brass. Crossmen got a lot of 5th place captions which is surprising as well as tbh I expected BS to be a decent amount ahead of them. Cadets 5th in percussion wow, and they were being hyped as their strongest caption by some. Just the first show though. So Cadets would be overscored with a 5th in Percussion?

I can't speak for others, but it's more jarring to me. This could be one reason why some find it more offensive to their senses.

I think Cadets were overscored, and yes they did get 5th in percussion. Good observation.

Cappybara
After all the complaints about vocals today, I think people are really going to like BD this year
